News

04/04/1005 - Thats right, on sunday the third of this month, 7th hell came together to perform to close friends and others who havent heard us before at Darlington's open mic nite at the forum, the set down went well, consisting of only three songs, Rise Above, Train of Consequences and Top Dog, with a quick jam on metrallica's Battery after Rise Above.  It was a good overall night, and a new song has been recorded in the past two weeks, its just awaiting vocals and a solo, so that should be wrapped up soon, hopefully it's gnna appear on TCR's compilation album of the year.

03/03/2005 - First post of the new year...  Well first off the message board is a place for people who haven't seen the band, or who have seen us before and surfed on along to our site and finally for press related issues, not bitching, but hopefully that's faded away.  I don'e see anyone bitching on the old nine yards site for those of you who can remember ;-) yes a very long time ago it seems now.  Seventh Hell has never split up or anything like that official, as it stands at the minute nothing is happening, but it doesnt mean things aren't happening elsewhere, plans of gigs and practices are being thrown around but they are only ideas... The reason i bring this topic up again is due to the fact i have just recently listened to a session we recorded back in summer of 2004 live in the studio, and i was amazed to hear what we managed to do live, hance why waste something that was once good, even if most of you are gnna take this as an opportunity to fly around stupid comments about "7th hell have been and gone", quit while your ahead bla bla bla.  To be quite honest what if the name 7th hell was put on deans, mark's, mike's and pauls music now, can you justify such arguments? its a totally different situation.

Anyway, im just dropping in to say Mike, Mark, Dean, and i think Paul are all up for jamming on a few riffs during easter, as we all relised how awsome the vibe was in the studio and live, and most of all, it was a great laugh!!

The Rise Above EP is still for sale if anyone wants a copy, and the new CD ive been blabbing on about in this post is also available, just ask andy or mike down at TCR and im sure something can be sorted.. Like I said, im very impressed with this live in the studio release!!  Ill keep some news going when it comes around and ill try and get a link to one of the songs on the 45 Minutes to spare CD up, possibly Top Dog as we never recorded a studio version of that song.  Laterzzz guyz and galz!!!

09/08/2004 - Ignore the new line up release, 7th Hell is back, MP3 available of our newest offering, fans, and first time listeners are totally digging this song, it has to be the heaviest and most metal song yet from us.  Email mark for the link as it is not going to be posted on the site

24/03/2004 - New line-up.  Hey all... some good news for you, 7th Hell aint gone anywhere.. infact singer/rhythm guitarist and drummer are in the process of becoming full members.  This will bring light on a more furious assault on todays metal scene.  Watch this space for details and pix very soon!!

09/03/2004 - Yes that's right, you heard right.  Dean has unfortunately left the band with no intent of pursuing the metal genre.  He left with no hard feelings.  His reasons for leaving were clear, he no longer wished to play and embrace such a style of drumming.  In addition college and work has unfortunately moved in the way of full 100% commitment.  Although a great shock, the departure was inevitable.  No hard feelings are bared whatsoever, and Dean wishes the band the best of luck and continues to be a close friend personally, and to the band.

12/01/2004 - Mike is out of Seventh Hell!! Too much conflict and musical differences led to the sacking and quitting of Mike.  Search for new singer now underway, new material also being recorded in the studio as we speak.

17/11/2003 - See Gigs page.  We're playing at the Clarendon in Hartlepool.  We are the only band playing during the night, so we're working frantically on 3 new songs, plus some covers like Crazy Train.

15/10/2003 - Yes were back in the studio this Friday writing new stuff, and in the not too distant future were planning on recording some of it for an album with songs from our just released demo CD on.  Although we have new sounding crazzzyyy stuff going on, we still play the old classics all the time.  We'll Keep ya posted.

13/09/2003 - Loads of new pictures have been uploaded to the site, you will find them on the pictures page.

13/09/2003 - New material!! Currently 7th Hell are writing a selection of a few new songs ready for gigs near the time of Christmas.  The new shit sounds great, well alot of it does anyway, with power rock tracks and even the odd progressive feel song! Dean has also got a track for our use, nice and heavy! Catch u all laterz

26/07/2003 - About the demo, yes its FINISHED, so if you want a copy get in contact with mark via email (check the contact page) and we'll see what we can do, if you see us in person then we will charge ya £2 for one, but caus ill av to post em out, if your gonna get one via email then were asking for £3.50 I think.  Were gonna use the upcoming 6 weeks for writing new material and stuff so by the end of summer we will be adding yet more classics to our set.

26/07/2003 - Big Live Gig 2003 went great, we were on the bill as last and show headliners.  Due to our previous experience of this gig little people seem to be there to see the last band, however this year that wasn't the case, everyone stayed, and the floor was packed with headbanging loonies!! Fans are even starting to sing along to our stuff which is quite kewl.  We don't have any gigs in the pipeline but when we do ill post them up on the site.

11/03/2003 - Band full unit again, Yup that's right, after not telling you all for a few months we now have a great new vocalist, Mike "Viking" Freeman.  With his addition the band has seemed to grow stronger, our style is becoming more focused and we can pull off great covers such as Megadeth and Guns 'n' Roses.

11/03/2003 - New Site

22/12/2002 - We have to apologize for the lack of updates...Seventh Hell have been in the studio since we played the Big Live Gig 2002 working on...You heard it hear first, the three track demo that is very nearly completion, it should be ready for around mid-late January of 2003. Two songs are fully mixed and ready for the short E.P while one is still undergoing drum mixing, bass tracks and a couple more guitar tracks.  However, and unfortunately to a lot of people, we still don't have a singer for it, so its not going to be released until we find one.  Chances are that will take a while, but we are getting the first audio sample of Afterfume (finished version) up ASAP.  We are also in talks about forthcoming gigs with great bands such as Unlearn and Fude (who we have gigged with before, and really REALLY dig their stuff /,,/ rock on guys) but just like the singer, the gigs are still in limbo at the mo.  Keep tuned

31/08/2002 - All three gigs were a great success.  The first two lacked energy, due to the musical tastes of the majority of the audience. However Mark bought a wireless before the gig, so we felt that we put on a much better performance overall.  For the Stanley gig Breedon kindly helped us out and sang for a one off, and the other two were instrumental sets.  All I can say for The Big Live Gig 2002 is wow and my neck really hurts... The atmosphere was electric, the crowd were moshing, and they were full of energy.  We got the biggest and most violent mosh pits going and we cant wait till our next gig.  We're gonna concentrate on recording our demo no, then continue with gigs.  Paul unfortunately is going to uni, but he is still gonna be in the band, which gives Dean and myself a chance to record mix and master our long awaited 4 track demo.

08/08/2002 - Carly quits.  She feels that she doesn't fit into the band and that she would want to do a lot heavier stuff, so acting upon her own strong feelings she quit the band.  Unfortunately this has come at such an awkward time, Seventh Hell have a gig on the 9th August, leaving us without a singer.  We turned to Thomas Breedon in this time of need, and asked him if he would kindly accept to sing for the gig, and maybe continue on until we find another singer.  He accepted.  We are due to record our demo CD next week, but with this unfortunate departure of Carly, we are gonna have to put vocal recording on hold.  We are still going to record drums, bass and guitars for End of The World, Afterfume and New Song.

18/07/200 - We have three scheduled gigs in August. Check the gigs page.

16/07/2002 - The gig last week went great, however it will be the last for both Breedon and Jam.  Due to the unfortunate spilt of rival band Black Market, due to tension between members, Dean Has replaced Jam because James lacked enthusiasm and failed to put sufficient effort into the band and our songs. Dean was wanting to join for a long time, as he knew that we needed someone with a bit more passion for the music.  James is still playing, but is following more of a funk drumming route, which is his style.  Breedon did a great performance, and we wish him luck both in his vocal and guitar work.  He was replaced by singer from Black Market, Carly Simpson, who was delighted when asked to join.  You can check out info on Dean, Carly and the rest of the band at the Band page.

04/07/2002 - Seventh Hell are in the studio still working on putting together their first demo CD which will be available to buy at gigs and at TCR studios.  Currently one song is totally finished. End Of The World.  After fume has just had guitar tracks added, and awaits bass and drum tracks.  The foundations for our yet to be named "New Song" are ready to be laid.  It's all being recorded by the band and produced by Mark.  Dean from Black Market is also helping with the mastering side of things for sound wise.  If all goes to plan, this CD will be ready for "The Big Live Gig" where Seventh Hell will play to the biggest crowd yet.

03/07/2002 - The TCR are currently wanting to bring out a CD featuring all the metal bands who use the studio and practice facilities at TCR.  Mark will be playing a key role in the production of this CD.  He, along with Andy Yeadon, will be putting together this compilation CD in the not to distant future.  Mark has volunteered to get things off the drawing board and on to CD.  He will produce and record many different bands.  Concentrating upon Seventh Hell and Black Market.

01/07/2002 - Seventh Hell have been asked to perform at "The Big Live Gig" in late August at The Barn at The Jersey Farm Hotel, Barnard Castle.  More information will be available nearer the time.

29/06/2002 - Seventh Hell have their first professional gig. We are opening up for a band called Fude on Thursday 11th July. We will be performing a half hour set, which will consist of four Seventh Hell originals, and 3 well known covers by great metal bands such as Metallica and Dimmu Borgir.

27/05/2002 -  Breedon is our singer.  We all rate his vocal work highly, and hopefully he will enjoy his time with us.

27/03/2002 - Thomas Breedon (Breedon) of Black Market has kindly accepted our offer to try out as a singer. We'll see if his voice suits our style.

25/03/2002 - End of the world is currently being recorded. The Guitar Tracks are down and mixed.  The whole project, mixing, recording, mastering etc...is going to be done by the band

02/03/2002 - Available in the multimedia section, under music, is a demo of our new song.  It's got a heavy Dream Theater influence, like on Glass Prison.  Here's a link to check it out: End Of The World (Demo)

02/03/2002 - We have a new bassist.  His name is Paul Greenland, and we rate him highly.  He's only been playing like 8 months, and both me and Jam were very impressed.  He likes our music a lot, so he's in.  We're making some cool stuff up at the minute, all to go on a TCR compilation album.  Watch this space for details

03/02/2002 - Seventh Hell are back to normal, but without Dean.  James and Mark are looking for a replacement bassist.  The Prog band is still going ahead but under a different name

19/12/2001 - Seventh Hell have decided as a group to take a long term break.  This is due to the unfortunate departure of Dean Jackson from the band.  The departure will allow for James to keep up his practice and increase his skill level and it will enable Mark and Dean to follow progressive metal side projects.  Seventh Hell are staying together, even though we are not going to be practicing as a band for a while.  We are looking for a replacement bassist as I speak, and hope to return to the studio for the continuation our E.P.

"As much as I like playing with Seventh Hell, I just want to focus on my main instrument, the drums..." ~ Dean

08/12/2001 - We actually did something constructive!!  We got almost two songs done today.  Both have high potential, we'll see how they develop for our E.P.

13/11/2001- It's official.  From this Saturday coming, we are going to start on our debut, and long overdue album.  We have some real cool riffs that need to be let loose.  Work is underway and it is going to be a fun, yet a cool project.

11/10/2001 - The gig was really good, many other good bands also.  Our set was short but we still gave a very good performance.  We played two songs and Mark stunned the audience with an amazing solo.

27/10/2001 - We have a gig, scheduled for 10th November in Barnard Castle.  There are many bands playing, so our set will consist of only two songs.  Well maybe only one due to the fact we only have one song so far, and the gig is in two weeks, and its very doubtful we will have another song by then.
